In 2025, Sarah became one of the first testers of the Grid Pad 16, featuring the innovative Lumin-i camera. This was a significant milestone in her journey, as it allowed her to continue her work with greater ease and efficiency. Writing an article used to take Sarah hours, but now, utilizing the eye gaze functionality of her Grid Pad, she can write an article for the Dodgers in about 30 minutes.

After a neck injury, Sarah transitioned from using a head-stick based device to eye gaze. This change was not easy, but Sarah's resilience and adaptability helped her navigate it. She experimented with various vocabulary sets, both text and symbol-based, and now uses Fast Talker for its speed and easy editing capabilities that suit her needs.

“Most AAC devices are geared to young children and have no flexibility, some eye gaze devices don’t tolerate any movement, even a deep breath. Talk To Me Technologies sounded flexible enough to meet my complex needs."

As a writer, Sarah was thrilled by the increased screen size and clarity of the Grid Pad 16. The extra-large screen space allowed her to better read the screen, even without her glasses. Sarah's story is a powerful reminder of the profound impact personalized AAC can have. Her journey continues to inspire and motivate others, showing that with the right tools and support, anything is possible.
