In celebration of AAC Awareness Month, we will be offering 50% off Grid for iPad between October 13-23.

By reducing the price of our Grid for iPad AAC app during AAC Awareness Month, we hope to make AAC more accessible for individuals and families who rely on communication support in everyday life.

Ways to purchase

Your local sale price will be shown in the app during the offer period. The sale applies to the one-off purchase version of Grid for iPad AAC only. Monthly subscriptions are not included. To access the offer:

Schools and organizations
Schools can still access 50% off during the sale by contacting Smartbox or their local Smartbox partner to arrange an Out-of-App Payment purchase.

Please note that the sale will not be available for purchases through the Apple School Manager program. Volume purchase discounts cannot be combined with the 50% sale discount.

Smartbox operates in different ways within different regions. For many of the regions involved in the sale, Smartbox sells directly or there is no local Smartbox presence. In others, we collaborate with partners. As a result, promotions can vary based on local partnerships and market conditions. Are subscription prices changing?
This 50% off app sale is only valid for one-off purchases of Grid for iPad, not the monthly subscription.

Can existing Grid for iPad subscribers access the discount?
Absolutely, if you’re currently subscribed to Grid for iPad and would like to take advantage of the sale by switching to a full purchase, please contact us directly. We’ll advise you on the options available and the best way to make the switch.

Will the discount be available through Apple School Manager?
Schools purchasing 20 or more copies can get 50% off through Apple School Manager, as they can all year round. This is the standard education discount. If you’re purchasing fewer than 20 licenses, you can still get 50% off during the sale period by contacting us or your local Smartbox partner to arrange an Out-of-App Payment purchase. Please note that this October, the 50% sale cannot be applied on top of the existing 50% discount for orders of 20 or more licenses.

Will the discount be available through Apple Business Manager?
No. However, please send inquiries to our team if you’d like to speak to us about volume purchasing.

Is any additional discount available to schools?
Volume purchase discounts cannot be combined with the 50% sale discount. This means schools will receive the standard 50% sale discount, rather than an additional reduction on top of an existing volume discount.

Is the discount available for Grid 3 too?
The AAC Awareness Month sale is only available on Grid for iPad. We are keen to hear any customer feedback on extending the discount to Grid 3 for Windows devices in the future.

How long will my quote be valid for?
Quotes featuring the 50% discount for AAC Awareness Month will only be valid between October 13-23, 2026.

Can I have a quote and purchase the app later?
You can request a quote before or during the offer period, but purchases using the 50% discount must be completed between October 13-23.
