Speech-Language Pathologist/AAC Consultant

Lauren is a graduate of Radford University, with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Lauren’s clinical experience includes work at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. She also worked at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters for 12 years, where she treated a variety of medical diagnoses and complex communication disorders. She further developed her AAC skill set in this setting by completing evaluations, device trials, and training. Lauren is excited to help support clients, families, and SLPs in Virginia!

Fun facts!

Lauren grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and lives Virginia.

Lauren has three dogs; two male Catahoula Leopard dogs (Cru & Indy) and one female beagle/hound mix (Bella).
She is good at cooking and baking, enjoys being active and spending time outdoors, caring for plants, and home projects.

She will always be a Steelers fan!

She has five siblings and everyone in the family has a name that ends in ‘n’.

What I do best

Listen carefully to the needs of my clients, their families, and SLPs to gain understanding of how I can best help.
Provide my AAC knowledge and expertise to assist in finding the best possible communication solutions.
Answer questions and providing guidance with paperwork and insurance requirements during the process of obtaining an AAC device.
Train clients and their care teams on the set-up and use of new TTMT equipment to ensure easy and timely implementation.
