Christie Witt

I am your personal AAC Consultant, and I’m here to ensure you receive an experience that is above your expectations.

About 

M.S. CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist/AAC Consultant

Christie received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa and master of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She worked in elementary school settings in Minnesota and Wisconsin before returning to UWSP as a member of the staff in 2013. While at UWSP she primarily worked as a clinical supervisor evaluating and treating patients with complex communication disorders. In addition, she taught undergraduate courses and a lab portion of the augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) graduate course. In her role as an Augmentative Communication Consultant with Talk to Me Technologies, Christie assists in the evaluation, placement, training, and implementation of augmentative and alternative communication.

Fun facts!

  • Christie was born in Decorah, Iowa and raised in Nora Springs, Iowa. She's lived in Wisconsin for approximately 25 years.
  • She has a Westie named Wilson and a Whoodle named Sir Harvey Higgins.
  • She likes to hike, bike, kayak, and hang with the pups.
  • Christie loves to bake (mostly cinnamon rolls) and would love to bake more often!  
  • She loves the Green Bay Packers!

What I do best

  • Listen carefully to the needs of my clients, their families, and SLPs to gain understanding of how I can best help.
  • Provide my AAC knowledge and expertise to assist in finding the best possible communication solutions.
  • Answer questions and providing guidance with paperwork and insurance requirements during the process of obtaining an AAC device.
  • Train clients and their care teams on the set-up and use of new TTMT equipment to ensure easy and timely implementation.
