ABOUT US
Matt Dunning
Matt Dunning is a Speech-Language Pathologist with 13+ years experience specializing in the full spectrum of low-tech through high-tech augmentative communication technology and the clients who benefit from them, from evaluation through implementation. Matt’s clients span all ages and levels of need, including people battling strokes, Lou Gehrig’s disease, brain injuries, autism and many other developmental disabilities.
Matt has presented extensively both locally and nationally on various topics related to AAC: Mayo Hospitals and Clinics, Marquette University, Closing the Gap, ATIA (Assistive Technology Industry Association) and various state speech and assistive technology conferences.
Matt’s work has involved experiences from both sides of the fence in terms of AAC: working exclusively for one AAC manufacturer as well as the experience of working for non-profits, such as United Cerebral Palsy of New York City and Munroe-Meyer Institute of Genetics and Rehabilitation, where a range of AAC solutions were evaluated and implemented. The benefit to the client improves when a wide range of AAC choices can be offered with clients’ needs and abilities being the driving force behind the choice of equipment. Variety and range is what propelled Matt to co-found Talk to Me Technologies.
